The England goalkeeper and Irish international James McCarthy are onboard and will join up with the team on Europa League business in the Czech Republic

Celtic have confirmed the signings of goalkeeper Joe Hart and midfielder James McCarthy in a sensational double summer swoop.

Ange Postecoglou may be across the continent with the Hoops squad as they touch down in the Czech Republic for their Europa League showdown with Jablonec.

Goal keeping solved

But the busy world of transfers stops for no man and he's solved the goalkeeping problem position and added an experienced Premier League midfielder in one go.

The arrival of former Crystal Palace man McCarthy comes as a surprise but Spurs backup Hart edged closer and closer to a Parkhead move at the start of this week before a social media tell - a snap of him in an aeroplane, complete with a green heart - told fans all they needed to know.

Hart will likely trump Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain in the battle for the No.1 spot in Postecoglou's side and the former England shot-stopper could even fly out to Czech Republic to make his debut against Jablonec on Thursday.
